Fatherland Front leader pays Tet visit to top Buddhist monks

(VOVworld) – The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan visited the Most Venerable Thich Pho Tue, Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and other Buddhist dignitaries, in Hanoi on February 13 ahead of the Lunar New Year or Tet, the country’s biggest holiday.

(VOVworld) – The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan visited the Most Venerable Thich Pho Tue, Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and other Buddhist dignitaries, in Hanoi on February 13 ahead of the Lunar New Year or Tet, the country’s biggest holiday. Over the past years, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) has always been an active member of the VFF, Nhan said. He expressed his hopes that the VBS will continue to accompany the nation on the path towards industrialization and modernization. The Most Venerable Thich Pho Tue extended happy and prosperous New Year wishes to the VFF’s Standing Committee’s members.
