According to the Vietnam General Statistics Office, Vietnam’s GDP grew 4.48% in the 1st quarter.
Associate Professor Doctor Pham The Anh, Chief Economist of the Institute of Economic and Policy Research, said, “Vietnam’s economic growth depends heavily on exports. Compared to last year, fiscal policies will have less impact on the economy."
"Vietnam signed many free trade agreements in 2020, particularly one with the EU, which is expected to be fully implemented this year. Foreign investors in Vietnam focus mainly on export goods,” he said.
