The Deputy Prime Minister was speaking at an exchange program entitled "Spring is Hope" in Ho Chi Minh city on Sunday evening. He said,  “Since national reunification, the Party and State have paid special attention to addressing the post-war consequences of bombs, landmines, and toxic chemicals. This is an urgent, regular, and long-term task, in which the government, ministries, sectors, and localities have been strongly involved.”

“Despite the difficult economic conditions, Vietnam annually spends thousands of billions of dong on this mission and actively calls for and mobilizes resources from domestic and international communities,” Deputy Prime Minister Binh added.

The exchange program, the second of its kind, was organized by the National Steering Committee on the Settlement of Post-war Unexploded Ordnance and Toxic Chemical Consequences, the Vietnam Peace Fund, the Vietnam Association for the Support of UXO Recovery, and the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Peace Fund gave gifts worth 15,000 USD to 50 Agent Orange and UXO victims.
