Alain Cany, Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), spoke at a press conference on Thursday after the meeting between the European business community in Vietnam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

He said European businesses still hold high hopes for Vietnam’s prospects and government, adding that EuroCham lauds the Vietnamese government’ determination to control the pandemic and reopen businesses and production once vaccination is made at a certain level.

Cany said to date Vietnam has received 10 million doses of vaccines from the EU via COVAX, with another three million sets to come from European countries in the near future.
