He told reporters that inter-Korean relations have seen significant achievements but there remain obstacles denuclearization and a stalemate on the Korean Peninsula.

Prime Minister Kim said declaring an end to the war would provide the best impetus to break the current stalemate and revive the dialogue.

Such a declaration wouldn’t mean that the issue is resolved immediately, simply that “the agendas should reflect the absolute need for dialogue on the Korean Peninsula, put an end to hostilities and nuclear ambitions, and restore peace on the Korean Peninsula through mutual trust.”
