At an online UN Biodiversity Summit, themed “Urgent Action on Biodiversity for Sustainable Development,” on Thursday, Ha called on countries to build a green economy based on investing in nature to replace the current economy based on over-exploiting natural resources. He recommended integrating biodiversity issues into all development projects, viewing biodiversity as a crucial part of all economic and climate change response solutions and as the measure of all sustainable development efforts, eliminating marine plastic pollution, encouraging regional and global initiatives to deal with environmental changes, and creating a more harmonious relationship between humans and nature.
