The upgrade of the Vietnam-Egypt ties to a Comprehensive Partnership was widely covered by major Egyptian outlets, including the Egyptian Gazette, Al Akhbar, and Al Gomhouria.
The Egyptian Gazette wrote that the two leaders agreed to upgrade bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership based on bilateral cooperation in agriculture, manufacturing, trade, and investment. The article said discussions between President El-Sisi and President Cuong emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination to develop effective mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and trade and investment exchanges between the two countries.
In an article titled “Egypt-Vietnam Relations: Renewed Cooperation and Strategic Partnership under President El-Sisi”, Ahram Arabic Edition highlighted milestones in the 60 years of friendly relations between Egypt and Vietnam since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1963. The article said that under President El-Sisi’s leadership, Egypt-Vietnam relations have been fostered, renewed, and elevated, marked by frequent high-level visits and the signing of multiple cooperation agreements.
The media also covered a meeting between President Cuong and Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
