The visit marks a step forward in bilateral ties, and provides an occasion for the two countries’ leaders to discuss ways to enhance collaboration in politics, trade and investment, and expand existing cooperation frameworks like strategic partnerships on climate change adaptation, water management, and sustainable agriculture, and food security.
