(VOVworld) – The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is believed to be ready to launch medium-range Rodong missiles, amid heightened inter-Korean tensions over the on-going joint US-Republic of Korea military exercises, a Republic of Korea defense official said on Tuesday.

The Defense Ministry spokesperson, Kim Min-Seok, refused to make any comment on the story, saying that they were closely watching the situation. Seoul has launched a “crisis management system” to cope with any possible provocations by Pyongyang.
