(VOVworld) – North Korea on Wednesday launched 2 missiles, possibly short-range ballistic Scud missiles, into its eastern sea.

North Korea launched 2 missiles into its eastern sea following previous launches since last June.

The two missiles were launched from Hwanghae province and flew 500 kilometres towards the northeast before falling into North Korea’s eastern sea. Following the launch, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ordered the authorities to co-operate with the US and South Korea in collecting and analyzing intelligence reports. A Japanese official said that Tokyo intended to release a document critical of North Korea for their missile launch. Earlier on June 29, North Korea fired 2 short-range ballistic Scud missiles into the sea and on July 2 they also launched 2 short-range missiles from KN-09 launchers.
