The first batch of bananas was destined overseas on Wednesday at a ceremony held by Dong Nai People’s Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Dong Nai province is the country’s largest banana growing area with over 13,000 ha of land, of which 6,000 ha and 39 packaging facilities have been approved by the Plant Protection Department and the General Administration of Customs of China.

The province exported over 400.000 ton of bananas in 2022, with China being its biggest market.
