President Trump told a press briefing on Monday that the US won’t allow Iran to own nuclear weapons and won’t lift economic sanctions against Iran. He said Iran needs to abandon nuclear weapons and terrorism before the two countries can start to negotiate. Mr. Trump said it is too soon to meet Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani. Mr. Rouhani said he is ready to meet Trump if it will benefit Iran.
