At a conference with the Ministry of Science and Technology on Tuesday, he urged the Ministry to reframe Vietnam’s system of scientific and technological research facilities to inspire innovation. The Ministry must remove obstacles to scientific development, study foreign research which is applicable in Vietnam, and promote innovation and new technology, according to Mr. Dam.

“I’m looking forward to a proposal of the Ministry of Science and Technology which reframes Vietnam’s system of research facilities and defines key technologies in each sector, which are not necessarily conducted or sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Made-in-Vietnam products and technologies should be given priority,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
