Deputies believe in newly-elected National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly deputies on Wednesday elected Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo Member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, as Chairman of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Election Council.

Many National Assembly deputies told reporters that they believe Mr. Hue will make reform to improve the National Assembly operations.

Deputy Pham Van Hoa, representing Dong Thap province, said that National Assembly Chairman Hue has experienced many important positions such as Hanoi Party Committee Secretary, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of Central Economic Committee, Minister of Finance, and State Auditor General. He is a person of practical competency and intelligence, who dares to think, dares to do, and dares to take responsibility.

Deputy Tran Hoang Ngan, representing Ho Chi Minh City, said, "We hope that the new Chairman of the National Assembly will continue with the traditions left by the previous tenures of the National Assembly, bringing into play the working method as well as the operating mechanism of the 14th National Assembly.”

Deputy Nguyen Thanh Xuan, representing Can Tho city, said, “The deputies hope that the Chairman of the National Assembly will reform management and leadership method to promote the role of e-National Assembly as the center of democracy and solidarity, contributing to national development.”

Vuong Dinh Hue, born in 1957 in Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province, is a Professor, Doctor of Economics. He has been a member of the Party Central Committee since 2006, a member of the Politburo since 2016, and a National Assembly deputy since 2011.
