In the first shipment, the ship Lantau Beach transported hundreds of tons of cargo. 

“The route will shorten shipping times from 12 days to 7 days. The new service will turn Da Nang into a shipping port for all export goods from Vietnam’s central region, especially goods going to Japan,” General Director of Da Nang Port Nguyen Huu Sia said.

Da Nang Port handled more than 8.6 million tons of cargo in 2018. The figure is expected to hit 9 million tons this year.
