The event was held during a visit by a EU delegation to Da Nang on Thursday. EU countries have given Da Nang nearly 2.2 million USD for 21 programs and projects since 2019.

Da Nang Mayor Huynh Duc Tho said the visit is an opportunity for Da Nang to promote its image and relations with the EU. “Cooperation between the EU and Da Nang focuses on environment, startups, innovation, smart city, and urban management projects. The EU is one of Da Nang’s biggest export markets,” Tho said. 

At the workshop, Head of the EU delegation in Vietnam Giorgio Aliberti and ambassadors of EU countries pledged to promote cooperation between Da Nang and localities in the EU. They said they hope Da Nang will continue to improve its infrastructure, business environment, and conditions for foreigners to invest in green growth, high-tech, smart city, and climate change mitigation projects.
