Addressing the event, Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Party Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairwoman of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association, hailed the glorious historical landmark of the Party’s establishment in national revolution. She said that the two countries maintain an exemplary relationship that constitutes an invaluable treasure, forged in the common struggle for sovereignty, independence and the construction of Socialism. Olga Lidia Tapia Iglesias, a member of the Cuban Communist Party’s Central Committee Secretariat, highlighted special bilateral friendship and cooperation and expressed his gratitude to Vietnam’s support given the unjustified embargo imposed on Cuba for more than 50 years.
