Cua Ong Temple Festival is held annually on February 3-4 and August 3-4 of the lunar calendar to honor historical and cultural values, national historical sites. The temple honors general Tran Quoc Tang, the 3rd son of  Tran Quoc Tuan, the royal prince, statesman and military commander of Dai Viet military forces during the Tran dynasty from 1225 to 1400. The general made great contributions to the resistance war against the Yuan Mongols as he was twice sent to guard the border at Cua Suot, one of the strategic positions of the Northeast region.

Dinh Ngoc Chien, Vice Chairman of Cam Pha City People's Committee, said: “Cua Ong Temple Festival was recognized as a National Intangible Heritage in 2016 and is held annually, this year on August 3 after being interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the people’s wishes, this year's festival is full of rituals. Cam Pha city has developed a project to preserve and promote historical relics, including the national Cua Ong temple. The festival reminds the young generation of patriotic tradition of drinking water remembering the source.”
