COVID-19: Vietnam confirms 224 cases, one more death on Friday

(VOVWORLD) - At 6pm on Friday afternoon, the Ministry of Health confirmed an additional 92 cases of COVID-19, of which 5 were imported cases and the remaining 87 cases were locally-transmitted.

During the day, Vietnam recorded 224 COVID-19 patients, of which Bac Giang reported 141 cases, Bac Ninh 47, Ho Chi Minh City 26, Hanoi 4, and Thai Binh 1.

Vietnam has so far confirmed a total of 6,744 domestic cases and 1,543 imported cases. The number of new cases from April 27 to now is 5,174. There have been  3,242 recovers and 50 deaths.

The latest death is a 67-year-old man suffering lung cancer in the northern province of Nam Dinh, said the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on Friday.
