COVID-19 in Vietnam: 2,762 new cases confirmed Tuesday morning

(VOVWORLD) - 2,762 new COVID-19 infections were recorded on Tuesday morning, mostly in HCM city. 
Of the latest cases, HCM city, the epicenter in the ongoing wave of COVID-19, had the highest number (1,849), followed by Dong Thap (149) and Tay Ninh (144). 
The remaining cases were detected in Dong Nai (119), Binh Duong (87), Vinh Long (73), Tien Giang (63), Ben Tre (60), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (52), An Giang (43), Kien Giang (11), Hau Giang (7), Tra Vinh (3), Ca Mau (1), Can Tho City (17), Phu Yen (37), Khanh Hoa (26), Dak Lak (11), Binh Dinh (4), Thua Thien-Hue (2), and Hanoi (4).

Among the new cases, 2,224 were in quarantine facilities or locked down areas.

8 provinces and cities have gone 14 days with no new infections: Yen Bai, Quang Tri, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, and Nam Dinh.
More than 4.7 million doses of COVID-9 have been administered nationwide.
Vietnam has reported more than 109,000 cases with 524 deaths so far.
