(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi authorities have proposed easing of social distancing measures after Wednesday, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung told the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control at a meeting in Hanoi on Monday.

Mr. Chung said recovered COVID-19 patients and individuals who have completed a quarantine period at a centralized facility should continue to self-quarantine at home for another 14 to 30 days. He said Hanoi will continue to strictly implement all Government policies and take steps to minimize the effects of the epidemic on the economy.

Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang People's Committee Le Anh Duong said Bac Giang province will accelerate its testing of high-risk cases for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and tightly control possible sources of infection.

Bac Ninh province on Monday quarantined 71 foreign experts and technicians of the Funing Precision Component Vietnam Company. The province earlier isolated hundreds of foreign experts working at partner companies in Vietnam, including Samsung Display Vietnam and Foseca Vietnam.
