During a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Saturday, El-Sisi called for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in both Lebanon and Gaza. The Egyptian President expressed concern over the consequences of the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon, warning of the potential escalation of the situation in the region if the international community does not assume its responsibility to stop these aggressive actions.

Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi discussed on Saturday the urgency of de-escalating tensions in the Middle East to spare the region from descending into an all-out war that could shatter its security and stability.

The High Representative of the European Union (EU), Josep Borrell, expressed concern about the escalating tensions in Gaza and Lebanon. He called on the international community to seek other diplomatic solutions to the Middle East conflict, emphasizing that it is time for the parties involved to change their diplomatic approach to avoid falling into a spiral of prolonged conflict. The EU believes that only through multilateral and balanced international efforts, can the region hope to move towards a sustainable peace solution.
