Cooperation boosted between Japan’s Gunma prefecture and Vietnam’s localities

(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has called on Japan's Gunma prefecture to promote cooperation in human resource training and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, study and work there.

Receiving Governor of Gunma prefecture of Japan Yamamoto Ichita in Hanoi on Thursday, President Phuc suggested that the Governor encourage businesses of the prefecture to invest more in Vietnam.

The President applauded Mr. Ichita, who visited Da Nang and Hoi An city,  and the visit will open up many opportunities for cooperation with Vietnam’s central provinces. Cooperation between Vietnam and Gunma prefecture, especially economic cooperation, investment, people-to-people exchange continues to flourish. The Vietnamese community in Gunma province has numbered 10,000 people, making it the second largest expat community there.

The Gunma Governor pledged to do his best to cultivate good relations between Vietnam and Japan, particular promoting economic cooperation between Gunma and localities of Vietnam.

There will be business delegations from Gunma to visit and invest in Vietnam in digital technology, IT, and manufacturing technology. The prefecture is receiving a large number of trainees and high-quality workers from Vietnam.
