(VOVworld) – Various activities are underway to mark Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage Day on November 23rd. For this occasion, 80 wood statues featuring cultural images in the Central Highlands are on display at an exhibition that opened on Wednesday in Kon Tum’s provincial museum. The statues were created by 45 ethnic artisans of Ba Na, Gia Rai, Xo Dang, Gie Trieng, Brau, and Ro Mam, from 9 districts and cities in Kon Tum province. The exhibition aims to promote images of the people and land of Kon Tum in addition to efforts to preserve and develop local traditional cultural values.

On the same day, another exhibition took place in Can Tho City displaying 100 most beautiful photos of Vietnam’s cultural heritages selected from a recent photo contest. These photos were on a tour of 7 venues in northern, central, and southern Vietnam before arriving in Can Tho for public enjoyment.
