Speaking in Thursday's event during his fact finding tour in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces, the Prime Minister highlighted key successes from recovery efforts, including people’s trust in the government and Party, unity and better performance of public servants. He said:“We have to protect the environment besides economic and social development. Maritime environment is an advantage of Vietnam and central coastal provinces. Reflecting on the Formosa incident, we have to do more to ensure no pollution in the air, water, and soil."

The PM asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to make recommendations to ensure sustainable maritime environment and to install automatic monitoring systems in major cities, industrial zones, and polluted areas nationwide.

During his meeting with Quang Tri provincial leaders on Thursday, the Prime Minister asked for a better business environment and governance for the people to ensure equal playing field for all businesses while promoting SMEs. He urged the province to quickly operate important infrastructure and energy projects, including wind farm and solar power projects.
