(VOVworld) - A program on tourism promotion for Chu Dau ceramic handicraft village in northern province of Hai Duong opened on Saturday. Local artisans created the unique ceramics from the 15th century. The tourism programme in the village included an exhibition of ancient and contemporary ceramic collections and a map of ceramic production sites throughout the country. Deputy Chairman of Hai Duong provincial people’s committee Nguyen Van Que, said the event is to echo the Tourism Year of the Red River Delta and Hai Phong: “The festival has both tourism promotion aim and highlighted Vietnamese cultural products through out the history. The program included a guided tour through the village and a visit to the archaeological site so that visitors had a chance to explore and promote the art development".
