Ministry spokesman Gao Feng also said during a weekly news briefing that China hopes the US will remove sanctions on Huawei Technologies Co Ltd as soon as possible and clear a path for healthy bilateral relations. The statements were made following the resumption of bilateral trade talks between China and the US  via the telephone. White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said the two sides are considering a face-to-face meeting.

US President Donald Trump earlier agreed to cease of high tariffs on 110 Chinese products for one year, starting from July 09, to help US businesses affected by the tax policy from the White House. He also announced that the US would continue to sell products to China’s Huawei.
