The festival reminds the ethnic Brahman community of their ancient gods and delivers wishes for bumper harvests and the growth of all beings.
In the early morning, the Brahman dignitaries and followers held a procession of Gods’ Costumes to the tower and a ceremony to open the tower gate.
The Cham Kate festival in Ninh Thuan province was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2017.
