The Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee and a delegation from the UN Development Program met Tuesday to discuss the 33-million USD project designed to strengthen the resilience of small farmers during climate change-induced water insecurity in the Central Highlands and south-central coastal region.

The 6-year project, is expected to benefit residents of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, and Khanh Hoa province. It will modernize irrigation systems, improve water security, disseminate information on climate risk and climate resilient agriculture, and increase access to credit and markets.

Approximately 4.5 million USD will go to four districts in Dak Lak province: Ea Hleo, Cu Mgar, Ea Kar, and Krong Pac.
