(VOVworld) - The northern province of Lai Chau has held a series of cultural and arts events in response to the 1^st cultural festival for Thai ethnic people. 300 artists from 8 provinces housing Thai ethnic residents participated in the art performance over the weekend.

Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Le Xuan Dinh, said the folk music and dancing performances reflects colourful and diverse pictures of Thai ethnic folklore arts in Vietnam: “Yen Bai province has joined the festival with our unique songs and dances, for example Thai people’s lullabies in the background of Thai traditional music. Dances of Thai people are awash in colourful costumes enriched with Thai culture and people lifestyle.”
