This celebration is also an occasion for people to express gratitude to heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Gathering on the streets to celebrate the National Day, people sang together the song “As if Uncle Ho were here with us on the great victory day”. The capital city of Hanoi was more beautiful than ever with dazzling flags and flowers as well as the overflowing patriotism in this grand celebration.
