(VOVworld) – On Monday, newly-elected National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, presented a list of candidates for the positions of National Assembly Vice Chairpersons and members of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, and Phung Quoc Hien, who was relieved from the post of Chairman of the NA Committee for Financial and Budgetary Affairs, were nominated for the post of Vice NA Chairmen. 7 persons were nominated for the NA Standing Committee.
The same day, President Tran Dai Quang asked the NA to approve a diplomatic note for a visa application between Vietnam and the US, which Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh explained to the National Assembly.
