Businesses resume operation after Tet holiday

(VOVWORLD) - Businesses nationwide have resumed normal production after the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Garment 10 Corporation in Hanoi held an opening ceremony on Friday and set the goal of developing products, improving labor productivity, and expanding markets to bring Vietnamese fashion to the international market. General Director Than Duc Viet said that Garment 10 Corporation will bring DETHEIA and GENEROS brands to the international market.

On the first workday of the Lunar New Year, almost all businesses in Tien Giang province gave lucky money to their employees.

Pham Nguyen Khang, Director of Minh Trang Steel Company said: “My company opened at 7 a.m. The workers were very excited. We gave lucky money and organized a New Year party for all workers. We prepare to start a new project and continue to work on 2 projects. This year is expected to be better. So far everything has gone smoothly since the beginning of the year. Last year the company worked continuously without any disruption.”

Ban Me Green Farm in Tan An industrial cluster in Dak Lak province processes durian and chili to export to China and Japan.

Director Nguyen Thi Thai Thanh said during the Tet holiday, the company has maintained contact with international clients. They have signed export contracts at the bginning of the year.

“We have orders for durian, avocado, chili, and passion fruit for the whole year, which is three times higher than last year. To meet export orders, we started production on Friday,” said Mrs. Thanh.

Ho Chi Minh City’s Labor Federation said about 65% of businesses and factories have resumed normal operation after the Tet holiday.
