In an interview with Sky News, Johnson pledged to control immigration using a points-based approach. He said his policy will focus on cutting down on unskilled migration, while offering more opportunities for high skilled and other workers to come to Britain.

Johnson has called for an early election on December 12 to give his Conservative Party a majority in Parliament to finalize a Brexit from the EU by the end of next January.

Pre-election polls show the Conservative Party leading with 42% of the votes, followed by the Labor Party with 33%, and the Liberal Democrats Party with 13%.
