A conference to discuss biodiversity of Ha Long and Cat Ba opens

At the event hosted by the International Union for Conservation of Nature in Ha Long City on Wednesday, participants said action plans and policies have been adopted to reduce garbage in Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Bay. These include bans on foam floats under floating buildings and dumping plastic into the bays. All tourist boats are required to have a waste water treatment system. A program to monitor the biodiversity in the regions has been implemented.
