They have become the first traditional craft villages in Vietnam to join this prestigious network.
Bat Trang and Van Phuc are the 67th and 68th craft villages to receive this recognition worldwide, making Vietnam the 28th country with a craft village acknowledged as a global handicraft village.
On this occasion, Hanoi authorities reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with international organizations, particularly the World Crafts Council, to further promote the city's handicraft heritage.
