The Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore and the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Trade and Industry will help to organize the event. The Vietnamese Trade Counselor said although Singaporean consumers like Vietnamese lychee because of its delicious taste, it imports the product mainly from Chinese traders.

Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, underscored the importance of promoting Vietnamese lychee in Singapore and increasing direct export from Vietnam to Singapore while looking for measures to ensure the fruit taste and quality.

The teleconference is expected to help Bac Giang directly approach Singapore’s major fruit importers.
