The CAAV proposal resulted from over 70% seat occupancy, flight reservation of over 50%, and sometimes even more than 90%, and airlines’ requests.

According to the CAAV statistics, from December 29, 2021, to January 10, 2022, Vietnamese airlines operated 4,480 flights carrying over 547,000 passengers at an average seat occupancy of 64%.

Demand for flights on the Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route and from Ho Chi Minh City to the Central Highlands, central region, and northern provinces during that period strongly rebounded with a seat occupancy of over 70%.
