Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia, Ngo Huong Nam, told reporters that during the visit, the two countries’ leaders will discuss measures to lift up bilateral ties on the basis of trust, engagement, and mutual benefits. Prime Minister Morrison’s visit, shortly after taking office in May, shows Australia’s appreciation for the relationship with Vietnam. Ambassador Nam said the visit will create momentum and open new potential for the bilateral ties, particularly in areas of shared concern including technology and science, people exchanges, energy security, climate change, maritime and aviation safety, cyber security, water source security, and trans- national crimes.
