This year's programme is being co-chaired by Cambodia in their role as Chair of ASEAN in 2022, along with Singapore and Vietnam.

The event comprises of two tiers for domestic and cross-border transactions and is scheduled to last through to Wednesday.

In terms of domestic transactions, reputable e-commerce businesses and platforms from 10 ASEAN member states have launched a series of special discount shopping schemes for consumers in their own country.

Furthermore, in terms of cross-border transactions, enterprises and platforms have come together to co-ordinate the implementation of a cross-border online shopping scheme among countries from the regional bloc.

Consumers, firms, and organisations in the country, as well as ASEAN member states, are able to access the online shopping day through the official website at www.onlineasean.com.

The special day was first held back in 2020, with this year marking the third edition of the ASEAN Online Sale Day as part of celebrations for the 55th founding anniversary of the ASEAN on August 8.
