Mr. Dung is also Chairman of the the ASEAN Coordinating Council Working Group on Public Health Emergencies (ACCWG-PHE).

Mr. Dung shared practical experiences of ASEAN's response to the epidemic from the perspective of policy makers and made suggestions for the next stage when member countries must respond to disease and conduct economic recovery. He said that ASEAN's solidarity and determination at all levels plays an important role in the bloc’s policies and measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the 36th ASEAN Summit in developing a master plan on post-epidemic recovery.
