The Ministry of Industry and Trade awarded the titles to masters of the design skills and manual skills needed to create handicraft products of the highest esthetic value.

At the award ceremony, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh called for greater support for handicraft development, which should be integrated into national programs aimed at building their brands and expanding markets. She urged the honorees to keep their crafts alive and flourishing.

“The People’s Artisans and Meritorious Artisans will be innovative to use your talent and intelligence to create more sophisticated, beautiful products to meet the growing market demand. You are a source of inspiration for the younger generation, who will inherit the traditional arts of Vietnam and spread them to the rest of the world,” said Madam Thinh.
