Former Vice President Truong My Hoa was touched when recalling the years she and her comrades were captured in Con Dao prison and fighting against the cruel oppression of the enemy.

“Our comrades-in-arms were at the same age as me. They dedicated their youth to national liberation. They had the desire of reunion but in the war, they laid down their lives for the fatherland. As fighting companions, we promise to continue on the path that you unfinished. We will live to deserve your sacrifice and our friendship and comradeship,” said Mrs. Hoa.
