50 years ago, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese army and people launched simultaneous attacks on the southern battlefields. The historic event created a breakthrough in the resistance war against the US and led to the final victory of the Vietnamese nation. General Pham Van Tra, former Minister of National Defense, who took part in the General Offensive and Uprising, said: “We sacrificed a lot in the 1968 Spring campaign. But we gained a great victory, forcing the US to accept the Paris Peace Accord. Since then, we step by step won over the enemy and ended the war on April 30, 1975.”

After interviews with war witnesses, the audience was treated to everlasting revolutionary songs.
