(VOVworld) – An art exchange took place Thursday at Lung Cu flagpole, Vietnam’s northernmost point in Ha Giang province, to honor soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend Vietnam’s sovereignty.

The program’s aim was to inspire young people nationwide with patriotism, enthusiasm, and responsibility for safeguarding Vietnam’s sovereignty and helping to improve the living conditions of local ethnic people.

The event was attended by border guards of the Lung Cu Border Guard Station, local ethnic people, and Ha Giang war veterans who participated in northern border battles.
