Arrivals from Vietnam exempted from mandatory quarantine in South Korea

(VOVWORLD) - Arrivals from Vietnam, vaccinated or not, will no longer have to undergo a mandatory seven-day quarantine when entering South Korea.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said Thursday that it is removing Vietnam, Myanmar, and Ukraine from its list of countries subject to strict COVID-19 control measures.

KDCA Commissioner Jeong Eun-kyung said South Korea plans to flexibly operate its system for granting quarantine exemptions for countries based on their current risk level.
