It was conducted in the form of a town hall meeting, with the audience surrounding the candidates and undecided voters selected by the pollster Gallup being given the opportunity to ask questions of the candidates. The debate focused on such issues as respect for women, Muslims, Obama administration’s healthcare policy, and tax policy.

The CNN poll of debate watchers showed that Ms. Clinton won the second presidential debate, with 57% saying Clinton won, as opposed to 34% for Trump. But according to direct viewer responses, there was no great difference between the two candidates with the rate of 50-50 percent. Despite being the winner in the first debate, Ms. Clinton did not really dominate in the second. Meanwhile, Mr. Trump did not have persuasive answers and always interrupted and criticized his rival.
