At an online meeting on COVID-19 vaccine development on Monday, Deputy Health Minister Tran Van Thuan said the Nanocovax vaccine is safe and of high immunity.

He said data about the duration of protective immunity of this vaccine has been unknown and other globally approved COVID-19 vaccines are also experiencing the same problem.

The Ministry of Health also asked Nanogen company to submit reports about the research results from the second and third trials before August 15 for possible approval of the vaccine for emergency use.
