Advisory Council of Journalism makes its debut

(VOVWORLD) -The Advisory Council of Journalism and the Council of Journalism Institute were launched at a forum in Hanoi on Saturday.

The forum discussed consultations for building the Strategic Project for Journalism Institute Development from 2020 to 2025 and the Project on Media Research. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Ky, President of The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) stressed the need to clarify goals of journalism training to catch up with global trend and give timely advice to Party and State. He said: “Our Institute will study theories and practice of Vietnamese, regional, and global media. We need to point out development trends of media, as well as opportunities and challenges. The Institute should give consultation to the Party and State on Vietnamese journalism development, in addition to education and training.”

 The Advisory Council of Journalism is led by Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, Vice President of the Party Central Committee’s Theoretical Council. VOV President Nguyen The Ky is one of the 3 deputies of the Advisory Council.
