Associate Professor Chu Van Men, director of the Center for Clinical Trials of the Academy, said the next group of seven people will receive the same jab on February 2.

On February 8, the trial of 75 mcg second dose will begin. Seven days after the second dose, researchers will take blood samples to further assess the immunogenicity of the vaccine.

The first clinical trial phase requires a total of 120 shots, of which 93 were already injected. The first phase of the Nanocovax clinical trial has involved 60 volunteers divided into 3 groups of experimental injections with doses of 25, 50 and 75 mcg, 20 people each.

Nanocovax developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC is the first Covid-19 vaccine in Vietnam put into a clinical trial.
